  This song was very controversial back in the day. At that point, those of us who had been SA’d by family members, family friends, etc. were told to keep our mouths shut. Steven Tyler gave us a voice. He spoke out for all of us. I can’t tell you how that felt. It let us know we weren’t alone. In 2015 he started Janie’s Fund to help fund counseling, trauma and medical care for troubled girls. He also created Janie’s House which is a residential treatment facility for girls age 12-15 with emotional challenges. I will always appreciate Steven for being the voice for girls like me.

  He was inspired to write this when he was in rehab and realized how many of the women there were addicted to stop the pain of what had happened to them in their childhood.

  My opinion YouTube or the record companies are insane for stopping reaction videos because it is giving these older songs traction and inspiring people to listen to more of their music and maybe buy downloads 🎉

  Steven Tyler is such a damn powerhouse and magnetic frontman. This song is about a young woman killing her sexually abusive father.

  It's David Fincher, one of our greatest movie directors/story tellers of the past 30 yrs that directed this video and why its so detailed and articulate.  We love when you guys pause it and take time to discuss it.  If we just wanted to hear the song straight through without your interaction we could just pull it up on our Apple Music and listen to it ourselves.  Keep doing what you guys do, there's a reason we keep coming back.

  So, something folks may not be aware of. Record execs thought this song was absolutely brilliant, by far the best song Steven had ever written. And there was one word in there that made them deathly afraid that the song would never see the light of day if he didn’t change it. So the line “he r*ped a little bitty baby” was changed to “he jacked a little bitty baby”.  Still powerful enough to get the message across. Allowed the song to be heard. And the execs were right about one thing. This song is a bloody masterpiece. ❤️❤️❤️
