  The best thing about the intellitone is that when you short the cable the tone changes so you know for SURE it’s the one. It’s also one of the only pair testers with an audible confirmation of connectivity so you can hear it from the room next door when the cable is correct.

  I use the Klein VDV500 for work. I find it best to use an alternating tone instead of a constant tone in almost all applications. Also, when toning out shielded wire, I find you can get a louder tone when you land one of the leads on the drain wire.

  For finding a single cable in a bundle you need to have the sensitivity way lower than 8 on the et450

  For Telecom here in the US we use toners by Fluke and Greenlee Progressive, I did on my own but a intellitone to use for troubleshooting businesses that many cat type cables connected to switches where you can’t make mistakes of disconnecting the wrong cables

  I enjoyed your video thanks for sharing it. I just wanted to point out something about the adjustment wheel on the probes. It’s a mistake to think of it as a volume knob. It’s a gain controller for the input amplifier.<br>Basically, it’s a sensitivity setting. The best way to use it is to vary the gain level during your search. Once you start hearing tone, &nbsp;the lower you can bring the gain level and still hear your tone., the more accurate the probe will be. Also, The best tone generation is obtained by having one clip on the wire you’re searching for, and the other clip earthed. this technique is a game changer.

  I would have liked to see a little deeper dive on the ET450 “accuracy” test. &nbsp;I wish you would have played with fine tuning the sensitivity to see if that improved “precision”
