One can argue that Hitler's biggest mistake of the war, after trusting Stalin to invade Poland when he did, was to refuse to use his paratroopers to take Malta.

There are two errors/omissions in the video. It does not mention the 22nd Airlanding Division, which was effectively destroyed at The Hague in May 1940. The other is the airborne operation at Leros in 1943, which used one Airborne regiment. <br><br><br><br><br>You should correct this

The people of crete were killing wounded german paras, also any one stuck in a tree with his chute was stabbed,usually with pitchforks...i dont think having these people arrested and shot was a crime as they became participants ,not wearing uniforms ..same as a partisan...no unifirm,no geneva protection...ergo, he was innocent . <br>What is a crime however,is the way to this day,the cretans continue to destroy and deface the monument to the fallen 4000 garman paras...and,to an extent, the present german government neglecting it because it keeps getting defaced!
