Alan Rickman is Master Class, across the board, but from an actor playing an actor, the self loathing expressed and portrayed in the "What a savings" line deserves 3 Oscars. 🏆🏆🏆👏👏👏

Guy's scream was not scripted. So Weaver's jump was for real. As she was not expecting it.

 Historical Documents - Sigourney Weaver: ‘….surely you don’t think Giligan’s Island….’
Aliens: ‘Oooh those poor people….’
Absolute comic genius! Gets me every time.

"Is he high?" Thank you for being one of the few reactors to realize that he is absolutely supposed to be high (which we found out was shown in parts of the film that were left on the cutting room floor). I mean, the casual attitude about mindboggling events, and the fact that he was holding a bag of munchies through the scenes where they first are transported to the ship should have been a couple of major hints.

FUN FACT: The DVD release of the movie had LANGUAGE AUDIO OPTIONS, for ALIEN LANGUAGE, and if you watch it, THE ENTIRE MOVIE IS JUST THE SQUEALING NOISES. I had this movie, and I would laugh when I turned it on!! 🤣🤣🤣

39:36 My wife and I were watching this for the thousandth time, and when Jason calls up Brandon and tells him it's all real, she turns to me and says 'Is that what it would be like for you...?', and I couldn't say no. She passed two years ago. THIS was her favorite movie.

Sir Patrick Stewart (renowned for having played Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation), once recounted in an interview his experience of having seen Galaxy Quest in theaters when it hit theaters…

“I had originally not wanted to see Galaxy Quest because I heard that it was making fun of Star Trek and then Jonathan Frakes rang me up and said "You must not miss this movie! See it on a Saturday night in a full theatre." And I did and of course I found it was brilliant. Brilliant. No one laughed louder or longer in the cinema than I did, but the idea that the ship was saved and all of our heroes in that movie were saved simply by the fact that there were fans who did understand the scientific principles on which the ship worked was absolutely wonderful. And it was both funny and also touching in that it paid tribute to the dedication of these fans.“
