  Note: Mags had been around for all of the Hunger Games and the reason Finnick was so torn up when she died was because he knew they were getting out the entire time, he&apos;s just sad he couldn&apos;t keep her alive in time for it to happen.

  The Capitol people actually hated that Snow had brought back the victors from previous games. The citizens were invested in the victors and loved following their stories. When the pregnancy thing came up, that was the last straw, hence the blackout to maintain control.

  Note: Cinna knew he was a deadman after making that dress, he knew Snow would never allow him to live the only question was when. And well Snow picked the most cruel moment right as Kat was going into the arena where all she could do was watch as her friend was being beaten to death.

  The movie never clearly explains why the three-finger salute is a death sentence for some people, but not others. My understanding is that it&apos;s a district 12 symbol for respect given at funerals. It&apos;s only bad to use it (in Snow&apos;s eyes) if you&apos;re NOT from district 12, because using another district&apos;s symbols hints at solidarity. And he knows solidarity is the only thing that can beat him. That&apos;s why he pits the districts against each other and limits their positive interactions.
