  A nice little detail: when Haymitch told Katniss and Peeta at the dinner table to &quot;make sure they remember you&quot;, he puts his hand over his glass, hindering the servant girl to pour him more alcohol. And since Haymitch would normally drink himself into oblivion (which is understandable if you think about it) this little moment is pretty important and special. It means that he actually had hope in Katniss and Peeta to have a real chance of surviving and wanted to stay sober for them to help in any way he could. That&apos;s pretty big, especially for an alcoholic.
