  It's also very dark in that you have to throw lives at the mansion all in hopes of fixing what your ancestor broke. The only thing that costs you nothing is recruiting new heroes. A shovel that breaks after 1 use is worth more than your heroes.

  Its funny to see someone join the game and have basically the same thoughts as me. Darkest dungeon has been a game I&apos;v been VERY slowly playing through for the last 6 years and damn. . &nbsp;Am I both anxious to get kicked in the face untill everything goes dark, and excited every time i boot it up. Game has os much content, good art and replayability, I m glad you found it. And eyy, great vid man

  I think the charm of DD is that the game is made around &quot;beating&quot; the rng, like the intro msg says &quot;this game is about making the best of a bad situation&quot; and it feels super good when you plan things and play around that, the game rewards you immensily for playing it risky, and even more if you know how to play risky without the &quot;risk&quot; and i really like that

  It’s my favorite game; I discovered it before the pandemic and got so hooked that I beat it three times—once on each difficulty level—and I still go back to play a bit now and then. The atmosphere, the narrator, and above all, the spontaneous stories that emerge from the &quot;Virtue&quot; and &quot;Death&apos;s Door&quot; mechanics are simply perfect. I remember one time when a hero of mine survived Death&apos;s Door three times, remaining the sole survivor at the end of a dungeon; on another occasion, a crazed hero literally backstabbed his companion and killed him. It’s those kinds of stories that made me fall in love with the game. ❤
