Sleeping like a Vampire actually makes sense. Christopher Lee played Dracula six times between 1958 and 1973.

Scaramanga's Island remains my choice for "if you could live in a Bond Villain's lair" ever since I first laid eyes on it.

One of Lt. Hip's nieces in this film -- the one George notes speaking Mandarin -- is perhaps BETTER-known TODAY for being none other than the landlady from "KUNG FU HUSTLE"! 😀

Christopher Lee was Ian Flemings cousin, they would discuss Bond villains at some length when they saw each other, even villain name was taken from a real person. While working for Britain's Naval Intelligence Division during the Second World War, Fleming was involved in planning Operation Goldeneye and Operation Mincemeat (The Man Who Never Was 1956 and Operation Mincemeat 2021 tell the story of the operation). He drew from his wartime service and his career as a journalist for much of the background, detail, and depth of his James Bond novels.

Not sure why people dislike this one. Has Christopher Lee, exotic locales, two swedish bond girls, memorable henchman, a great car stunt.

About the southern sheriff - I saw these Bond films when they first came out. And I can tell you that when the scenes with the sheriff were shown the theater erupted with laughter. He was very popular at the time.
