  If you are noticing audio sync issues, it is because of YouTube’s new “feature” called Stable Volume. It’s automatically turned on and can desync a lot of videos. <br>Turn it off in the settings of this video to fix the problem :)

  Bond punching the widow is clearly where Austin Powers got their famous “That’s not a woman, that’s a man, man” scene from. &nbsp;😂

  Generally considered the first “epic” Bond movie in scale, this movie had a higher budget than the first three films combined. &nbsp;It won an Oscar for best special effects. &nbsp;<br><br>When they blew up the Disco Volante at the end, Special Effects coordinator John Stears used a new method of rigging the boat with explosives and he had no idea how big or violent the explosion would actually be. &nbsp;He said in an interview that when it went off, they shattered windows along the coast of Nassau miles away from the filming location, and that the crew initially thought they had disintegrated the boat until they looked up and saw the debris hundreds of feet in the air about to rain down on top of them and had to run for cover. <br><br>This was originally conceived as the first Bond film with a different production company. &nbsp;When that fell through, Ian Fleming worked the story elements into his next Bond novel which resulted in a lawsuit from his co-writers on the original screen treatment. &nbsp;This created a series of legal battles that would plague the series all the way until after Skyfall was released and paved the way for a rival Bond film based on the Thunderball novel in the mid-eighties. &nbsp;It’s also why Thunderball was not the first Bond film as the case was still in court until 1964, and why Kevin McClory gets the producer credit on this film instead of Saltzman and Broccoli. &nbsp;And, sadly, it’s why SPECTRE was eventually dropped from the series until the Daniel Craig film of the same name, since Thunderball was the first novel in which that organization appears.

  Handle Like Eggs was indeed a written warning on British hardware in that period. It had less to do with worry about detonation and more about damaging sensitive electronics &nbsp; &nbsp;. For instance, this was printed on our Avionics packages.

  It’s so nice to see reactors that like and appreciate the underwater scenes of this movie. So many reviewers over the years don’t care for those scenes. I’ve always loved this one! Great job as always. Love your reactions!

  About the parachute attack scene that impressed you, the movies director Terence Young was in fact a paratrooper WW2 veteran from the 1944 Operation Market Garden, where a whole British division parachuted into the Dutch city of Arnhem. Obviously director Terence Young must had made use of his WW2 experience filming that scene!

  The Bond movie producers always tried to put things into the movies that nobody had ever seen on a screen before. Often it was new gadget vehicles or new stunts. (And they are often shown in the opening, because it doesn&apos;t have to make any sense for the rest of the plot.)<br>For Thunderball, they got the first movie quality camera that could film underwater. And they really got all the use out of it that they could get.
