  Great video - however, I believe you missed a huge part of Peter&apos;s sport upbringing, and how he became the goalkeeper he was. He didn&apos;t just play football growing up, but also handball, which is very evident in his style and the X-saves (star-saves) he became known for. They are litterally known as starjumps in handball. Until he was 18, he played both sports equally.<br>Peter is quoted saying; Handball goalkeepers are the best keepers in the world. They are the bravest people I&apos;ve ever seen in my life.

  Poland had a history of having one of the best goalkeepers. Schmeichel is half Polish but still.

  Fergie would never have just kept walking, he knew exactly what he was doing. He knew Schmeichel would never apologize cus he knew his charachter, but he knew he would apologize to the team. Schmeichel was our main guy as I grew up as a boy and he will always be rememebered as the best of his era. We had so many great charachters through the 90&apos;s.. no one could have managed that many big ego players the way Sir Alex did.

  He is a legend and is probably one of the best keepers ever, not just for United but in the world. <br>Schmeichel was a constant difference-maker during Manchester United’s most successful modern era, helping the club to five league titles, three FA Cups and the Champions League.<br>His greatest feat was helping Denmark stun the footballing world in 1992 by winning the European Championship in Sweden.
