Examining the video, I can see that the muzzle is free of any fouling before I started shooting the gun - so I have to assume that it all happened during my range session. That's disturbing in terms of the quality of the CCI ammo, and I might try to find other brands for a re-test. My guess is that with good ammo, the accuracy would be considerably better! Thoughts??

Thanks! I'm feeling a lot better about my own bad shooting.🙂 Unusual a .22 would prefer standard velocity. I've settled on Remington Golden Bullet and Aguila Super Extra for my .22LRs.

I had the same leading problem with my M&P 22 compact. Instead of sending it back I bought some Chore Boy copper wool (dish cleaning section in Walmart). I cleaned it with Hoppes soaked wads of Chore Boy. It took a while to get the lead out. I then ran 10 rounds of Mini mags, cleaned and repeated the process two more times. The barrel finally got smooth and now no issues with leading.

I've had one for about 2 months and ran about 1500 rounds through it. So far there have been very few stoppages, less than 1%, and most of those were with an old box of Fed 22 Auto Match. Accuracy varies a bit from one load to another but mine prefers 40gr ammo.

Interesting review. My first 300 rounds went off withought a hitch. I had awesome accuracy. Couldn't be more stoked about it.
