  I have been looking at the same thing! My garage doors face west and COOK in the afternoon sun. It’s 101 degrees out there now… thanks for the great video!

  Great video. &nbsp;We don&apos;t leave excess refrigerant lines in a vertical loop configuration. We cut the lines to proper length and flare the cut ends.<br>I like the way you built out the refrigerant line exterior channel. Very neat. Good workmanship.

  Once again we are pretty much leading parallel lives. &nbsp;I am getting ready to do one of these in my shop as well. &nbsp;Only difference is I am very concerned about dust smoke and just overall crap in the air. &nbsp;So I plan to make a box over the top of mine to prefilter the air with 3 large AC air filters to catch the crap before I cake it in the wall unit. Great Video.

  I just came across your channel and installation. I installed an 18K Tosot Muse about 2 years ago and it’s been great to heat and cool the living room and adjacent areas of my house. &nbsp;Don’t forget to add a surge protector to the disconnect box to protect the mini split electronics from power surges. &nbsp;I used one by Rectorseal, RSH-50. 👍👍<br><br>Considering how technology changes, if the unit lasts 10+ years by then due to parts being obsolete or equipment improvements you’ll be ready to upgrade the unit anyway.

  A shop the size of yours, I think you went the right route. 2-24k sounds right. I’m a fan of mini splits. I have 2 in my mobile home, 1 in my shed. 1 in my garage. 1 in my loft casita. All of mine are Pioneer. I’m getting a new home built. I think what I like about the mini splits is the modulating compressor instead of full on-full off cycling. Basically that’s the inverter heat pump part of the systems. I’m doing the Bosch inverter heat pump ducted central system on my house and for my shop I’m doing a 40x80x16. 3” closed cell spray foam on the walls and roof. Drop ceiling at 16’ with cellulose insulation on top, another ducted Bosch 5 ton inverter heat pump system, 5 ton air handler with ducts inside the attic. It’ll have small vents at the ends to slightly condition the attic around the ducts, a small transfer duct in the middle of the shop to let the attic vent into the shop. It will be right between 2 large inlet ducts. The main vents will be 4 on one half and 4 on the other half with the attic unit in the middle for everything to split off of. Funny enough I designed it with ChatGPT.

  Great video, &nbsp;I have two EG4 12K mini-split solar hybrid model. &nbsp;Based on my experience, the pull out washable filter that comes with most mini-splits are ok but even if you wash and clean them out on a regular basis, dust will still collect on the blower wheel. &nbsp;Not a matter of if but rather when. <br>I constructed a 10 inch thin aluminum frame triangular shaped with black carbon filter mesh that sits on top of the air handler. The carbon filter mesh was &nbsp;installed front, back and sides and leaving the bottom open on the frame. <br>(Yes, it will slightly reduce air flow but not dramatically.)<br>This will NOT eliminate dust from entering the system but rather reduce the dust. <br>Washing out a blower wheel is not fun, ask me how I know. <br>There are several videos on YouTube on washing out the blower wheel.<br> I haven&apos;t seen not one on creating an extra filter like a triangular shaped one.<br><br>Good luck and wishing you the best.
