Really wish we got more of this ship, would've loved it in Deadlock.

Wow...I like your heavy vessel carrier demonstration and perhaps Jupiter station has more logistic expansion projects than we expect. You know I was considered some heavy vessel carrier types and enhanced propulsion systems that very efficiency to new trade and commodity market enlargement. Plus, we assume the variable speed of light(VSL)) mode should consider some liquid crystal extraction pad to place traditional liquid metal gear and gravitonic gear when heavy vessel carrier groups are keeping pace with our galactic neighbors' vessels. Thank you.

This ship sounds more like an armed logistics ship than a cruiser.

BSG ship classification thoroughly confuses me. They call this a heavy cruiser but most of us would probably call it a replenishment ship.

On another note, that dome kind of reminds me of a radar dome you'd find on an AWACS plane or a Raptor just larger.

A great design that actually makes reasonable sense in the Colonial Fleet, especially for a Battlestar Ghost Fleet that needs to remain in deep space, provide supplies to everyone with little to no outside support, while remaining in secret at the same time. The Loki-class can be looked at as an aggressive fleet service vessel. It might not be a true cruiser heavy-hitter combatant, but the idea remains the same: you need a powerful armored military combat transport, not a requisitioned civilian freighter that can be obliterated in the first two seconds of a battle, which can be assumed was done often during the war with disastrous results. The Loki was badly needed to fill that military logistics gap.

The Loki class was probably mothballed at most but never scrapped. It can be argued that even after the end of the First Cylon War, older ships, like the Loki, not connected into the military mainframe computer networks, remained unaffected by the Cylon hack. Any that did survive were inevitably destroyed anyway.

At 4:22, if you look top right. The ship below the demeter class ship. The one with the spindley flight pods. What ship is that?

It's a damn shame these ships are non cannon. Due to the failure of Blood and Chrome, designs from it was discarded.
