The central "toaster racks" on the type 3 basestar were meant to be VLS missile systems. The raiders were supposed to launch from the spires.

My favorite thing about cylon Capital ships is that it seems their engine technology is massively more technologically advanced because they seem to be semi perpetual engines. They can move in any direction and in atmosphere very smoothly. Also there's no visible exhaust or thrust vectors to show. It just moves which makes it way cool and robotic

What about the pulsar cannons along the entire rim of both cones. Not only for anti star fighter defense but also capital ship to capital ship class weapons. Which were high lighted in the episode involving Apollo and starbuck it was part two of the living legend episode. Rarely did the original basestars ever use their warheads against the Galactica. The defensive turrets were named pulsars in the original show.

If they choose to reboot the universe I’d like them to cover the 1st cylon war

Whilst I like the visual look of the whacky weird spiky spires as something very different, I think I much prefer the A-type or the Original when it comes to a Cylon Base Ship

Sustained critical damage to a floating chunk of iron?  Lee disobeyed a direct order.  Good on him.

The original show contained an important line about the original Cylon Baseships that is often forgotten. I believe in the episode with Commander Caine, Baltar is pursuing the Galactica with three baseships. Either Adama or Col. Tye comments that the Cylons only used 3 baseships to destroy all of the 12 Colonies! This is the most blatant acknowledgement that 1 baseship is much more powerful than 1 Battlestar. They are not even comparable vessels. In the final original episode, Adama is reluctant to fight just one baseship on equal footing with the Galactica.

I thought type B and C were the same, I thought C is just B with the upper and lower sections facing each other. Which we know from the movie The Plan that they can do the modern type D. My favourite are A and D.
