  One thing I think is really important is to have some &quot;goals&quot; or &quot;objectives&quot; when you watch a tutorial!<br>Like - when you click on the video, think to yourself: &quot;After following this tutorial, I want to be able to add hitboxes without looking anything up.&quot;<br>It gives you a concrete way to know that you&apos;re making progress, which is super valuable - plus it gives you some direction on how to apply the things you&apos;re learning independently!

  One thing I also do is take notes, now I might never ever read these notes again, but having to explain the concept in your own words, to yourself, really helps with it sticking as a concept, for me at least. <br><br>Also, there&apos;s something ironic about a tutorial on how to tutorial.

  When I was 8 years old I decided I was going to become a programmer because of my love for video games. I have been 15 years working on Web development, I have built hundreds of websites yet zero video games. Something that I somehow resent.<br><br>A month ago I was laid-off, my confidence plummeted, I was barely sleeping trying to find the drive I lost along with my last job. I decided to learn videogame development, and I&apos;m having a blast. Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge man, I have learned a lot from your content.
