  I feel so deeply sorry for parents trapped in situations where they are fully dependent on public schools in areas that are toxic.

  I got my degree in English education, and because of that, I swore I would never send my kids to public school. It is a literal &nbsp;war zone. What I didn’t know back then was how much I would enjoy homeschooling. It is an absolute delight! We go to the library twice a week. We go to the local gym once a week and swim with all the sweet, precious old people who love them. My kids get to do bowling, and we even did square dancing the other week with another family. We did robot class at the library. We do piano lessons and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I teach them etiquette, and then we visit local restaurants where they can practice. They do household chores with me, and if something is broken around the house, sometimes they learn with me how to fix it. They watch fascinating documentaries on history, science and economics. We do all this on top of completing accelerated curriculum. And we are all LOVING it! I love that my kids love to learn, and that love would have been completely crushed in school.

  I&apos;m now listening to the part in the video of the mom talking about how her son doesn&apos;t like school. &nbsp;My son was sooooo excited about starting school, and after awhile, he heard other kids saying they hated school, and he told me he just didn&apos;t understand it. &nbsp;Well, after a time, he grew to hate it, too, &nbsp; What HE loved was learning, and his school really let him down.

  I guarantee you. The reading class will be the next ruling class. Prepare your kids. <br>I homeschooled and taught my children a passion for reading. We went to the zoo, museum, etc. every other weekend. They met the school kids at the library from 3 to 6 everyday. <br>I taught my daughter the value of pi and the librarians all said, &quot;You&apos;re correct&quot;. But the public school kids were baffled and my daughter would rattle off, &quot;Three point one four. O,h she felt, oh so clever. <br>I loved the joy in her eyes. She did go to public middle school and high school, but now she goes to a Catholic university on a four-year full scholarship. <br>I told her, she could leave school anytime she wanted. Take any day off. She took one day off from high school in four years. She graduated from high school an Assistant Physical Therapist. She&apos;s passed Physical Therapist and on track to doctor of Physical Therapy. Yes, homeschool your kids!
