  I was in 3rd grade I watched the challenger blow up live ..it was insane...only topped by 911 15 years later

  There’s also the photo of Jack Ruby jumping out to shoot Lee Harvey Oswald, the Dallas Detective in the cowboy hat with a shocked look on his face is very memorable.

  As a Gen X, her and someone that watched Tiananmen Square footage on the TV I think I am most moved by the loan person in front of the tanks. One brave soul.

  Los Rodeos and Thailand. My parents were in Elementary school when Los Rodeos happened and I was a baby when the Boxing Day tsunami happened. Historical photos can bring previously missed details to life

  It&apos;s so true about remembering where you were when tragic events happen. I&apos;m 63 &amp; between my age &amp; medications I take It&apos;s a good day when I remember yesterday (slight exaggeration...but slight) yet I can remember with crystal clarity where I was for 9/11, the Waco burning, both space shuttle disasters, the Oklahoma bombing, Princess Diana&apos;s accident &amp; the Boston marathon bombing (&amp; aftermath).<br><br>Edit: Forgot one...the announcement of John Lennon&apos;s assassination. I&apos;ll forget the incidents before I forget what I was doing during them. Better to say...If someone brings up one I&apos;ve forgotten, I&apos;ll remember immediately where I was when it&apos;s brought up.

  I remember the shooting of JFK. I was happily skipping home from school and tripped and cut my knee. I got home with blood dripping down my leg and no one payed attention to my bloody knee. All they could do was stare at the TV in shock as the world as we knew it came to an end.
