  The Piper is haunting, enchanting, medieval and vocally and musically brilliant. It&apos;s totally weird, wonderful, haunting and hypnotic.

  It was Xmas 1980.I had rushed in the record store to &nbsp;buy the new ABBA album &quot;Super Trouper&quot;.My turntable was way long time broken and had to wait 2-3 weeks till Xmas holidays to visit my uncle&apos;s house 400km away from us to listen to this in his newly bought Dual compact hifi stero system with 4 loudspeakers!I was looking at the cover sleeve for hours day by day.A few days before we travelled for those Xmas holidays ,my father returned from a buiseness trip in Spain.2 presents in his suitcase.The rare domestic &nbsp;album &nbsp;release that Abba &nbsp;had recorded for the Spanish/Latin American markets.&quot;Gracias por La Musica&quot; plus the single to &quot;The Winner...&quot; that had &quot;Elaine&quot; on the b side non album included.I couldn&apos;t believe it!I was possibly the happiest kid in the country ha!ha!

  I DJ, and sometimes I will mix in Lay All Your Love On Me in the middle of harder club music, and it goes absolutely crazy. 40+ years after being released and it gets the whole club singing every single time.

  I am a 70-year-old Aussie who lived through the ABBA era without taking their music as seriously as I should have. Hence I was only aware of their big hits.<br>It was only about ten years ago that I decided to take a deep dive into their catalogue. <br>The early albums struck me as a group still coming to grips with their songwriting and perhaps not realizing at that stage the magic of the ladies&apos; voices together.<br>From then on though, the quality of their output improved exponentially. After spending 50 years thinking no band could match The Beatles I &nbsp;had to eat humble pie.<br>I can now say without hesitation that ABBA are the best group I&apos;ve ever heard for sheer musical excellence.<br>And it&apos;s so refreshing to see two genuine blokes who are prepared to wear their hearts on their sleeves in reviewing ABBA albums in depth. Thank you.

  U gotta watch the live performance to &quot;The Way old friends do&quot; as filmed in &apos;79 Wembley.All &nbsp;4 stood up in front of their fans.Benny&apos;s holding his accordion playing this with Frida having her arm around him.Bjorn despite being divorced held for a while Agnetha&apos;s shoulder.All &nbsp;4 singing those words &nbsp;of friendship and forgiveness.A real anthem.That emotional league and interaction was unique.
