Ren truly is an inspiration, real treasure. I deeply love his "God I forgive you" - it is such an interesting and beautiful take on the struggle. If you want to know more of Ren's story, his other you tube channel Renmakesstuff has 8 chapters from him. They preceded the release of Troubles and kinda build into his story. Word of warning, they are very heavy overall (very fun as well at times), but each also ends into a song of that time. and like many here in the comments will tell you, there is also an acoustic version of Troubles that will absolutely speak to you. <3

Ren has been tempered by fire. You can't go through years of pain without gaining some amount of divine/cosmic wisdom. Most impressive.

I love that Ren is a master student of every music era. THAT'S when you know music is in every fibre of a soul. He soaks up the lessons of history like a sponge.

I realize you're on holiday, but I still hope you read this comment. I cannot wait until you react to the rest of the Album Asylum when you get back. Ren just posted that this album hit #1 on some of the streaming charts in the UK and I just hope it keeps on rising because it's amazing. I'm so looking forward to you reacting to the title track "Asylum", it's hit me hard, it's so beautiful. The only way I could describe it, it's like a modern day version of Marley's "Redemption Song" or Lennon's "Imagine" & IMHO just as timeless.❤🔥

I think lyrically this is one of my favourites from Ren. His way with words is pure genius level and it really shines here.
