  Oh, &quot;he gave Chinchilla the last line&quot; - this is something you can experience with Ren again and again, as his collabs go. He&apos;s not in it to make himself more visible and celebrated and famous, he just enjoys the collab and wants to highlight the other artist and does everything for the art, for the music, not for his name and fame. You really can&apos;t spot his ego anywhere. And that&apos;s one thing that makes him even more brilliant and adorable. It&apos;s not just his immense talent in so many different ways and fields, but also his lovely personality, that totally draws people in. He&apos;s a whole utterly awesome package.

  Scottish Renegade here, &nbsp;Ren surrounds himself with quality, his team, who he collabs with, all excellent. &nbsp;He beleives in unity through community, and that&apos;s a small part of why we love him. &nbsp;The incredible talent and genius is kind of a bonus.

  I think they met because they shared the same management at some point. Ren took Chinchilla on her first busking experience, and described her as &apos;his musical sibling&apos; (There are a couple of videos on Ren&apos;s channel of them out on the streets together). More knowledgeable Chilly Beans (as her fans are known) can correct me if I&apos;m wrong.

  While I do have my own demons, one thing I find amazing with Ren&apos;s music is that it teaches me more about other people and their demons. I&apos;ve got friends on antidepressants, and I have tried to understand how they feel. But these lyrics don&apos;t explain the problems, they explain the...&quot;experience&quot; for a lack of a better word. It hurts to hear it, but on the other hand, if I better understand, perhaps I can be a better friend.

  Chalk Outlines is a cowrite by Ren and Chinchilla, both artists are credited on the song. Ren tends to use X for his more collaborative works as Ft. when it&apos;s a featured artist. He&apos;s done similar with the collab work with Sam Tompkins as well.<br><br>Chinchilla said in the interview that she took singing lessons when young, and was in a band whilst at school, but is not classically trained. Describing how she initially struggled with her voice then all of a sudden it came in whilst on holiday, from which she decided that singing, producing and songwriting was her calling. She undertook singing and vocal training, which she still maintains today to support her voice, and attended the Academy of Contemporary Music, London, gaining a BA first in creative artistry. <br><br>She was talent scouted straight out of university by a Brighton-based management team, and performed on gigs that Ren also attended around Brighton. Ren later joined the same management team as Chinchilla. Chinchilla was picked up by Sony/Columbia, but unfortunately, after the pandemic, the management company collapsed and she and Ren left (Chalk Outlines was their last song with them). During this time, Chinchilla toured with Sting and McFly, opening shows for them and had a gold disc hit with Estonian artist NOEP. <br><br>After the management breakup, Chinchilla parted with her label to seek a different direction, appearing on the UK TV show The Voice to re-kick-start her career. However, before the show aired in the UK in 2023, she had a global viral hit with her song Little Girl Gone, which went straight to no.1 on the Billboard emerging artists chart (1st solo female to achieve this in the chart&apos;s history), also earning a gold disc. Chinchilla was picked up by a management company that helped launch the careers of Billie Eilish (US) and Yungblud (UK). And signed with Island Records (UK) / Republic Records (US), releasing works with top producers as well as her own solo produced works, she has also toured with Justin Timberlake.<br><br>A number of her songs have a classical sounding element to them, but she is genre agnostic - to date covering contemporary R&amp;B, soul, pop-rock, ska, rap, dance/electronic and adant-garde styles both in produced and acoustic live works. She often restyles he songs between studio and live versions, for example releasing a live version of her hit song Little Girl Gone (the requiem version) with operatic stylings, featuring opera singers on backing vocals. Her music features themes of empowerment, loss, self discovery, rage against injustices, raw reaction and reflection, and tounge in cheek fun.<br><br>Her music has been used in TV shows in the UK and the US, she also co-wrote and performed the theme song for Sky&apos;s TV hit show Sweetpea with contemporary classical composer Isobel Waller-Bridge. Currently, she&apos;s just finished touring the US, the UK and Europe, both by herself and with Australian artist G Flip.
