I keep hoping that Chris Webby's fans are raving over this as much as Ren's fans are. As a Ren fan we all tend to see this as a "Ren" project, but it is just as much a "Chris Webby" project as well. Both artists use rap and other genres to weave stories with commentaries about today's world and human nature, and this is exactly why both wanted to get together for this.
It's a masterclass on how to create a song that captures the heart and essence of the blues genre in a completely new way. Every note, every phrase, every choice of expression is perfectly placed to weave this into a beautiful production that captures you from the very first note and doesn't let go.
Filled with archtypes and stories that can't help but provoke insights and commenteries, and yet is still something so beautful and captivating that we end up feeling like we have sold our souls to it, and now are compelled to listen to it over and over and over and over . . . . . . .

This was actually written and recorded line by line in less than 24hrs. They had been in the studio for 5 weeks and I’m pretty sure this was the last track they did. These two are just magic together, new one out this Wednesday 🤍

The ‘Down the Road’ gospel parts were actually Ren just layering his voice and giving it that sound through the technology he has in the studio

Freddie Mercury was once asked what instrument he played best? His response, the audience. That response applies to Ren as well! He is sensational! As always, wonderful reaction! Much love! ❤
