Iranian here, something to note is that after the 40 day war, power has been wrested away from the clerics and is now in the hands of the irgc, now boots rule over turbans. During khomeini, turbans ruled absolutely, but boots were created to defend the turbans from any coup by the normal military or an uprising by the people, during khamenei, in his first years as the supreme leader, he used the power boots had to solidify his shaky position and then boots and turbans were more equal but all of it were under his control, after his son became the supre leader, the irgc used the opportunity to seize the power.

From a Bahai. Thank you for telling this history. The Bahai&apos;s in Iran are still suffering I would love to hear Simmon tell the factual information about the Bahai faith, &nbsp;telling the history<br>of the persecutions and tribulations of those people from the viewpoint of a historian would be informative and fascinating thank you for making this video.

The man&apos;s genuinely one of the best people on YouTube when it comes to actually studying and researching Iran, instead of stereotypes and bias.

Back before 1979, France should not &nbsp;have given Khomani sanctuary there. 😮
