Another pro tip to save on your strings is to use the frame like I do for a lot of your shots...

At 9kg for mannarino, he probably doesn’t even need a machine. Just string it by hand 😂😂😂

I usually play until my strings burst. I play 4 hours every week, I have 4 matching racquets. It’s gonna be very expensive to restring every month

Multiester mains, round soft slick poly mains, 30hrs per string job. 3hrs a week tennis, arm friendly, spin friendly, power and feel.... happy times

Pro tip: If someone brings a 115 sq inch snowshoe and a set of natural gut you have 2 options. 1) Cast them out into the outer darkness. 2) String it one piece and measure that first half of the mains exactly. You want just barely enough string left over to be able to tension that last main. And even once you’ve done that, you may find yourself pulling the last cross with your pliers, praying it doesn’t break and yelling at your buddy “clamp it now clamp it now!”

Used to restring every 6hrs full poly 16x19. Most consistent setup for this was at around 48M-45X. Daughter switching to 18x20 just a month ago and it is a complete different ball game when compared to the 16x19. On the 18x20 (full poly Toroline O toro) we dropped the tension super low. 43M-38X. The main ASK was 1, Pocketing and 2, spin. This config will maintain consistency for at least 12hrs or 4 days, while super crisp, great directional and depth control with insane SnapBack. The idea was to be able to somewhat replicate the topspin of a typical 16x19 but blended with the 18x20 control. Currently 78-82 degree weather but once summer and 90+ kicks in, I think I am going to dial up the tension just a pound or 2. I used to love restringing racquets but to be totally honest, it is becoming a PITA. Btw, with the 16x19 I’d swap the grommets every 4 months. Hoping to not have to deal with this on the 18x20 all though, I am already tasked with hiding the 3 grams of lead under the bumper guards lol (ez job) <br>If anyone interested: previous racquet: Technifibre 300S (16x19) New Racquet Technifibre TF40 (18x20 305g static)

Outstanding presentation Mitch. Good information to share with junior players so they will become educated with the stringing processes.

I play outdoor tennis in Ireland, where 30 km/h winds and 50 km/h gusts are the norm.<br>The wind ruins my game (and the game of nearly everyone else in Ireland) before the strings even get a chance!
