I love watching passionate people talk about their work. Their excitement is palpable 😊
Plus, who wouldn't want Adam saying nice things about their model?

"Oil paints have always given me my best paint jobs while I'm removing them." Now THAT needs to be on a T-shirt!

Can we just give a nod to the detail work in the paintbrush holder?! That's a atmospheric peice and still obviously 'just for fun'.

My private art teacher decades ago gave me the best advise ever ….. draw/paint what you see, not what you THINK you see. References are key 😎😎👍🏼

I love watching these to learn and to get more ideas for weathering, painting, and just general model maker techniques. This one is brand new to me. I've been on oil paints for weathering but this looks easier in a way. I will def try picking up a couple of browns to try this.

My true down fall in life is painting! During school i'd draw what i thought was amazing pictures, teacher would say now colour in which i knew i'd ruin it. Detention for not doing so. In my older years i'm still a artistic/creative person working with wood and metal. Painting is still a thorn in my backside, i cannot seem to put together colours together.

"Denatured alcohol" and "rubbing alcohol" are pretty vague terms. Rubbing alcohol generally is denatured, as are nearly all types of pure alcohol sold to the public. "Denatured" just means it has something else added to it, typically a bittering agent so people won't drink it (or use it to make drinks and sell those).

The relevant thing when using it as a paint thinner is what kind of alcohol it is (ethanol, isopropanol, methanol, butanol, etc.), not whether it's "denatured" or not.

I'm guessing they mostly use isopropanol when they want it to evaporate quickly (possibly with some ethyl acetate mixed in?), and butanol when they want it to evaporate more slowly.
