You should continue working on the Porsche Panamera.

I had a 2010 Panamera 4S. Absolutely a magnificent car. My high pressure fuel pump went out, it was labor intensive and expensive. Be cautious of the remanufactured parts. The first one was no good. The job is so labor intensive, I suggest biting the bullet and getting one directly from Porsche. That's a job you don't want to repeat. Also, don't forget the cam bushing.

Go ahead and finish that Porshe, it's going to be a nice daily driver.

Hi Sam, that Panamera deserves a second, third and fourth lease in life. Keep it budget friendly as always, though. Keep the content coming.

Jay Leno said ' The classic car business is great. You buy an old barn find for a
couple grand, put 20 or 30 grand into it and sell it at auction for 18 or 20 grand.'

!

Max torque on a 1/4” bolt is 4ft lbs…5/16” is 8 lbs. Also the length of a PERPENDICULAR extension has nothing to do with torque readings, but PARALLEL is a different story

I vote for fully sorting out this Panamera...Door-card included 🙂

Maximize your cut-rate by fully doing the service you've identified. Sure, it's more time and money, but the car is so sound otherwise, and you got it at a fire-sale price. It all makes good sense to go the last mile. That last mile should mean, hopefully, another 100K quite possibly. Plus, this is one great performance ICE sedan that is becoming more scarce with every passing month.

I would clean the engine and undercarriage to see if the bolt tightening helped. Then replace the tail light, do the front brakes, bump-stops and upper strut bearings. If after those items and the car is doing well, go after the hi-press fuel pump, and repair/replace the driver's door card. Give it a good detail and enjoy it!

You overhauled the timing chain in a field. Is repairing the rest even a legitimate question at this point? The answer is YES.
