  I bought a Mazda RX7 at an auction. Nobody bid on it as it wouldn&apos;t start.<br>I had it towed to the local Mazda dealer.<br>It turns out they put a toggle switch on the dash to turn off the fuel when turning the car off.<br>They were known to leak fuel into the cylinder when turned off thus flooding the rotary engine.<br>My repair cost $40 including the short towing.<br>I drove the car for 3 years and sold it for more than double what I purchased it for.<br>Best sports car ever.

  Once you fix the problem of the drain, it&apos;s best to remove the front seats, take the carpet up and dry that entire area completely.

  This is exactly how I fixed my kid&apos;s &nbsp;Touareg from COPART, clean title, cleaned off the water, spliced the wires and we got ourselves a $1000 &quot;poor man&apos;s&quot; Cayenne🙌🙌🙌

  Instead of weed whacker string to clear it, buy a roll of pvc water line for a fridge, almost the exact size of the hole, stiff enough to push out the clogs and also you can blow air through it. Works way better.

  I got an old &apos;89 honda civic hatchback out of the woods one time by just putting a battery in it. <br>The guy just wanted it off his property and said &quot;if you can get her to start, she&apos;s yours&quot;.<br>After the new battery was in then it fired right up and I drove it out of the grass that was growing over it and went to the dmv and got it put in my name. <br>I called it the swamp monster haha

  You scored with this Porsche. 5 years ago I purchased a non-starting RAV4 for $2500, thinking I could do a quick fix like this. I spent 6 months and another two grand in parts trying to get it running. With no luck I sold it about a month later for less than what I originally bought it for. After that experience I am intimidated on buying another “junk” car. I am very happy that your gamble worked out.
