    This is why we need to support &quot;Right to Repair&quot; laws so that dealers cannot continue to monopolize service/repair like this.

    The reason the dealer estimate is so high is because they think that they are the only option because they can&apos;t imagine a universe where a DBS owner would go to a pick your part and look through multiple Volvos trying to find the parts they need.

    Might be worth having a word with an auto locksmith. They often pay for access to factory encryption data so they can program keys for dealers. They may also be able to do an &apos;all keys lost&apos; reprogram if the keys are still good and are able to be programmed to another module. Probably new keys needed if not.

    When I had my V8 Vantage, I&apos;d go into the AM dealer near Seattle and tell them I needed parts to fix thing myself. &nbsp;I&apos;d always get the eye roll and the &quot;oh, it&apos;s you again....&quot;.🤣🤣🤣🤣
