Really need to cover it with plexi glass to make a micro greenhouse so the temperatures can increase even more

Excellent job with this solar collector array! I build a tiny version (two of your panels) for our hot-tub and was surprised how well it worked!

I'm in Costa Rica and have a pretty much shaded pool that at best is 86°. Temps here range from 68°to 92° I'm in the early stages of a project like this. I'm only trying to get a 4° on a 9000 gal pool. Wish me luck,  I'll be checking out more of your videos,  thank you.

I have a 500 feet coil laid across one side of my roof and I have a another 475 inside a 4x8feet box which is solar tracked. Between the two, my 15x48 pool was hot enough that I had to get out of it last summer to cool down! lol<br>I also have the bubble foil insulation around it and new this year, is the 2 inch R10 foam board for a cushy floor and more comfort. At my age, heat is a must. ☺

So handy you just uploaded this. &nbsp;I&apos;m in Ontario Canada with the exact same size inground pool, and just ordered a commercial system. &nbsp;I considered DIY but I&apos;ll see how the cheaper commercial systems from Amazon last considering they&apos;ll be brought inside for the winter. &nbsp;Great to know this is not only possible but quite effective at heating a pool in the northern climates. Great video

We had a 24&apos; above ground. My dad built a similar heater with one coil and had to disconnect it due to overheating. &nbsp; These heaters work well.

I’ve often thought about using the same tubing to create a heat exchanger in an unconditioned space like the garage or shed. It wouldn’t require nearly as much head and would help keep that space cool. That being said, the solar heater on the roof would keep the space beneath it cooler by shading it instead of exchanging the heat with the pool

I am so glad you did the math for the BTUs. I am designing a system currently and I can&apos;t tell you how many people don&apos;t understand the heat transfer math and think the slow flow rate making the outlet water hotter equals better heating. The key is to go with a HIGHER flow rate over a longer period of time to take advantage of temperature differential. Thanks for the video man. I am using an Arduino Opta wifi to automate some of my stuff and it was cool to see an off the shelf set up for that jandy valve. You should consider adding in a vacuum relief valve at the high points to prevent the tubing from collapsing when the pump turns off. I would also consider running your VS pump continuously, with it shifting to a minimum flow rate throughout the night.

Solar panels are so cheap nowadays it might be a different calculation

Put the pump on an ecoflow or similar and some panels on it. Reduce your costs. Im thinking of a setup where the pipes are under a metal roof, and preheat a athermal store for night heating.
