  I really thought the issue would have been Radon, not mold. But makes sense.

  I&apos;m glad you made this video. A friend of mine had the air ground source heat pump system. &nbsp;He died of lung cancer, several years ago. The next owners did a radon test on the house and the numbers were very unsafe. Had he used coils of pipe filled with water or glycol and a heat exchanger, he would probably still be alive today.

  NB. Based on a twenty year experience with a waterfurnace , I highly recommend a closed loop system over an open loop system, which is susceptible to ground water quality, condition and fouling due to inherent minerals. There were numerous mineral deposit issues we had to overcome with the heat pump but at the end of a twenty year stretch, the discharge well itself was highly fouled with mineral deposits and could not be rehabilitated for use by the waterfurnace. Go closed loop, or not at all.

  Correction: The temperature 6 to 10 feet down is the multi year average temperature for the site. See permafrost for an easy example of it not being the same everywhere.

  Legionnaires disease is one of those very deadly diseases you can get from this type of system.<br>I had a friend who got it just by cleaning out the algae from a backyard fountain.<br>He almost died before they realized what was wrong.

  45,000 to 65,000 is still saving a good amount of money over 15 years in California.<br>The energy cost is really bad. We have a corporate corruption problem.

  When i lived in Minnesota, &nbsp;someone i worked with had a geo thermal system installed in their new build house. &nbsp;It was a liquid cooled system. &nbsp;She said that temperatures in the house were stable and comfortable. &nbsp; It added $25,000 to the costs, but she said it was worth it.

  Tech Ingredients did a video where they were able to massively increase the efficiency of a window ac by just having the pipes go into &nbsp;the ground. &nbsp;While it looks funny, and probably only going to be able to do it if you own, but it really wasn&apos;t too difficult if you&apos;re even somewhat mechanically inclined.
