  Great video, thanks for posting. Two facts about plug-in solar should be stressed to stay legal:<br>1. One has to buy a complete kit, knocking off odd spare bits laying around isn&apos;t permitted in this scheme<br>2. No batteries allowed - inside or outside<br>The 800W continuous feed limit is met by the kit supplier so we don&apos;t have to worry about it. <br>===<br>If one creates an off-grid island and isn&apos;t connected to the mains, then one doesn&apos;t need to follow above, just follow commonsense, good engineering practices and taking safety seriously.

  Thank you for a very well narrated video that gives real time approximate savings for plug in solar and also the benefits of a battery system, eventually looking to go for a 16kw battery but intend to start out with a plug in system on the highest wattage possible. yours is the best video I have seen so far explaining the pro,s and con,s, regards Nigel Cox.

  I bought 2.8 kW of used panels, cheap Chinese inverter charger and 24v 300ah lifepo4 battery, for £800. Working great and saved 10 panels from landfill. Off grid with independent socket outlets and no tie in. My current bill is around £10 a week with standing charge

  Great video and loved the stats presentation and walk-through. It seems we’re some way off from getting fully ‘approved’ plug in kits at ‘sensible’ prices., certainly not on ‘day 1’ anyway! Lots of developments in terms of battery offerings, sodium based not yet in the mainstream ….yet, could change things again, but all need professional installation. It will be interesting to see how the plug-in landscape develops over the next few months. Congratulations on your system and progress so far.
