Nothing a Floyd fan likes more is seeing a new fan showing the facial emotions we all feel, it's just lovely ❤

"Us and Them" was always my favorite song on this entire album. That third chord in it is everything, musically. Richard Wright wrote the music. And yes, Alan Parsons was the sound engineer on this album. The lyrics to "Us and Them" are a statement about the futility of war and divisions between people that are artificially constructed by people in power to keep us divided and fighting amongst ourselves, so we don't notice what they're up to. That last verse that says "With...without...and don't deny it's what the fighting's all about." How could a man so young have had such profound insight into the basic reality of the world? Roger Waters was in his late 20s when he wrote those words. People at that age today are still dressing like toddlers and playing video games all the time; here was a guy summing up what the world is all about. As for "Any Colour You Like" - both light and sound have wavelengths that differentiate one color or one note from another. The rich, layered sound of that song blends a lot of sounds together the way all the colors of light blend together to make white light and a prism (as depicted on the album cover) breaks up that light into its color spectrum again. That's the kind of heady stuff Pink Floyd's music makes you think about.

Pink Floyd isn’t just a great band. It’s an experience! I wore out my Dark Side of The Moon album back in the 70s, playing it so much, lol.😂😊

I'm in my 60's. I can't imagine going through my life without this foundation. Zep, Sabbath, Frampton, Purple, Skynyrd, The Who, The Eagles, Doobie Bros., and on and on. When music was authentic.

That is definitely the sound of a Tenor sax in both Money and Us and Them. I played tenor sax in concert marching and jazz band.

The lyrics in the choir part is deep indeed... "Forward!" he cried from the rear
And the front rank died
The general sat and the lines on the map
Moved from side to side" i was 13 when this was released, my older brother was eligible for the 73 draft for the Vietnam war, resonates with me still today...

I’m a lifelong Pink Floyd fan, and seeing how their music has spoken to you emotionally is pure joy in my heart. I always encourage people to turn off for a bit and REALLY listen to their music. It’s so transformative and can give you a whole new perspective on life.
