  Now you can travel faster than a minecart by teleporting over a line of couch cushions. All the best transportation methods feel like glitches. They definitely need a more intentional mechanic

  The fact that 16 years later you can't couple carts together to make minecart trains and you can't even CONTROL the furnace minecart in the base game is insane. How hard truly could that be to add?

  Lowkey a minecart overhaul with rails that can split instead of being just one line AND minecarts with better physics would be one of my favorite updates

  i’ve always felt like minecraft is being designed by people who are unaware of what is already in minecraft. they added flying and made it better than both minecarts and horses, just invalidating two whole mechanics. they kind of do this all the time. they never build up an old mechanic, they always just one up it.

  If Mojang added a way to connect minecarts together and give us a furnace minecart that can go much faster on normal rails than a regular minecart on redstone rails, I think most of the problems would be fixed

  I have a 15k+ block railway in my world with multiple other unconnected rails throughout my world. I built it in hopes they decide to update minecarts in the future. <br><br>I’m constantly watching videos about other peoples ideas on how to improve them, I hope mojang decides to do something soon.

  Minecraft is pretty much suffers from Inconsistency and keep adding features that don&apos;t align with existing features that are neglected

  Waiting 10 years for Mojang to do the bare minimum feels like a toxic relationship that you should&apos;ve ended long ago, but still can&apos;t because you have &quot;good memories&quot; which are not even clear and they definitely are blurred of what you thought was &quot;Happiness&quot;, meanwhile it&apos;s just nostalgia. The fact that they can&apos;t even use CHAINS which IS AN ITEM ALREADY PRESENT in the game to attach EVEN 2 F-ING minecarts to make a little 2 minecart train, tells you all you need to know about how greedy and lazy they&apos;ve become.

  A minecart/transportation game drop seems painfully obvious to me. They don&apos;t need to change any of the existing systems (except furnace minecarts if they go for your idea). New rails, new carts, new blocks to make them more useful. There&apos;s plenty they could do here.

  I would argue that the slowness of the minecarts is actually really nice to let you take in the surroundings unlike with an elytra were your moving so fast that you can&apos;t look at something for more than a couple seconds

Ice boats were a bug that players grew too attached to, having spent countless hours building infrastructure in their worlds to make use of them. Compelling Mojang to keep it in despite how overpowered they are. A similar thing happened to the elytra. Yes they were added on purpose, but weren&apos;t initially intended to allow sustained flight. They were just gliders, but people found a way to stay airborne by shooting themselves mid air with a punch 2 bow. Again, growing accustomed to an unintended mechanic. They knew getting rid of it alltogether would be met with way too much backlash. So mojang compromised, they fixed that bug and gave players a legitimate way to propel themselves in the rockets. So in a way, this transportation powercreep was not by design. It snuck up on the devs themselves.

  And yet some people are insistent on minecarts not getting a speed boost because somehow it would mess up redstone, because apparently minecarts must only be for redstone and elytras must be used for everything.
