  The last few years I’ve felt like the 343 era has had the same problem the sequel era of Star Wars had, a lack of an overall story from the start.

  Bro had to break my heart all over again by mentioning “hunt the truth”. If halo 5s campaign actually related to that story it would’ve been peak.

  Here are my hot Halo 5 takes: we never should have played as Locke. Keeping him as a mysterious ONI agent that we don’t know if we can trust would have been way cooler than actually playing as him. We should have played as Buck since we already had experience being in his shoes.

  Strangely, you can easily have like 4 games out of this. The Sangheili Civil War, Relinking the Colonies, Spec Ops/Headhunters, and Hunt the Truth. Hunt the Truth could have easily been the actual Halo 5. While the other 3 could be spin offs like ODST but just as important. I can see the Relinking of the Colonies being Humanity’s missions to reclaim the colonies they lost in the Human-Covenant War. The Sangheili Civil War being in the perspective of the Elites. And a game of Spec Ops/Headhunters with the surviving Spartan IIIs and the newly introduced Spartan IVs also taking center stage.<br><br>If anyone ask about Cortona and the Created, save that shit for either Halo 6 or 7. <br><br>How 343i decided to cram these ideas and not even half bake them is anyone&apos;s guess in Halo 5. Since really, Halo 5 needs a rewrite from its foundation more than anything.

  I saw that the misleading marketing was caused because the developers and the marketing team didn’t work together. When the marketing came out, the halo 5 developers were mad, because they had never seen or heard of “hunt the truth” and other trailers and the game had almost nothing to do with it.
