  She seems like such a sweetheart, all that trauma would lead most people to seek relief and solace no matter the personal costs. I hope she receives abundant peace, comfort,  happiness and love until the end.

  I’ve never experienced K but,spent twenty years in addiction with H/opiates. Different type of product yet,addiction seems to be addiction. I completely understand the triggers or excuses to use,such as feeling happy,angry or upset. Hell,even congratulating yourself for waking up or making it through another day. And then,the part where she mentions that you’re sharing with friends in the early phase but,isolation takes over as the addiction deepens was SO truthful and familiar. Addiction is a prison and it sucks.

  Thank you, Leila. You really made me realize a lot. Thank you, Leila. You really made me realize a lot. While you were describing the k as a best friend, I was thinking of it as my lover. I think the story will be the same just like you most of my friends have drifted away because of my addiction, and I kept convincing both myself and them that everything was fine. I thought I was medicating myself for a better future, and it felt like I was overcoming all of my traumas. Without it, I felt incapable of dealing with such a cruel world. I believed it made everything easier, but it has only been getting worse every time I use it. Wishing you all the best, and thank you so much.

  Thank you for your authenticity and bravery in sharing your story Leila, it was beautiful. I wish I was able to find people and stories to relate to about this a long time ago.
