This has been confirmed to not be a Cloverfield movie. Maybe it might if been thought yo be made one but JJ Abraham's has said there is not plot connections.

I wouldn't get too caught up on dinosaurs from different eras, because movie studios don't tend to care about that. They try to make an entertaining package, long before they try to make things realistic.
(The feathers and fur were likely added to make their movie-dinosaurs look visually DIFFERENT, rather than any modus operandi of scientific perfection.)

If the movie demonstrated a swap-for-swap of the two time periods (prehistoric and 1980s), then the movie-makers simply made it dinosaurs-vs-modern, not different wormholes drawing dinosaur species of different eras together.

You forgot the part where she saved the editor lady therefore removing the ladys shotgun from the first dinosaur fight and she saved the librarian who would have saved the family if they ever managed to get to the end again thereby removing any chance to survive if the eventz played out in a similar way.

Back in 1982 it was Junior High School kid. Not "Middle School".

In the movie, just prior to them being aucked through time Greg made his last delivery to that same house. So that historically happened.

The sequel should have the Denise that went to the past without Greg survive by herself and seek revenge on the Denise that stole him.

Denise's decision to pluck GREG out of Oak Street and not the rest of her alternate Oak Street family was a selfish act. ALso, the rekindled feeling of love she had for Greg was for the original Greg that went through the Dino-Horror and ended up being heroic. The Greg she now settled with is the same old, got fired from his job, delivering pizza on the side, drinking whisky in the garage, kinda Greg. And while we're on Greg, how does he feel about leaving his reality family. I mean imagine in a different scenario, you get a call to leave your house and family and meet up with an alternate version family just as your old house catches fire and your original family dies a horrible death. I mean, how do you live with that??
