  The Mist is a whole damn atmosphere from another dimension. Not for humans to be in since they aren&apos;t evolved for it.<br>You can almost tell when the one monster gets a taste for human flesh, it hung around that grocery store wanting more.

  The monsters need the mist to see. &nbsp;That&apos;s why they can find people in the mist, but when they were in the store, they werent seen. &nbsp;Only the light.

  If you&apos;ve read the book, the ending of the movie wasn&apos;t what you were expecting.<br>It was a surprise twist and super wicked.<br>Nicely done.

  They always struck me as just animals/creatures from another dimension. I mean, the spider things are fucking horrifying. But I kinda think that about regular spiders haha

  I think the mist in the movie IS the other dimension ITSELF, assimilatting with our dimension. Not merely part of the creatures&apos; ecosystem that spilled in with them. This theory would explain how a skyscraper sized creature could just &apos;appear&apos; or materialize in our world as opposed to somehow walking out of the small experiment booth within the scientific lab. Its kinda silly to think all &nbsp;the giant creatures walked through a booth that&apos;s only a fraction of their sizes. 🤔

  As a biologist I assumed the Mist created portals to various different alien worlds, as not all creatures seem to come from the same &nbsp;worlds or ecosystem.

  I have my own theory.... as a Geologist with a degree, My theory is that the experiment opened a portal to the multiverse, in own history there was a period millions of years ago called the Cambrian Explosion in which the oxygen levels were around 80% (today they&apos;re 20%)... such high levels of oxygen lead to a massive expansion of life and increased size, this was before dinosaurs so the only life was insects, so my theory is that in this multiverse that era Never ended, which means insects just kept evolving and improving, which is why those insects look like the ones of today but far more developed

  They opened up a door to a world in which arthropods became the dominant animal kingdom. And the fucked up thing is that it could have happened here had conditions stayed in which arthropods were gigantic.
