I can`t get my head around that there are still people out there who do not know/understand/believe that carbs are the easiest energy supplier for the body, short and long term.
They need less oxygen to be metabolized than fats and your body does not need the complex process of gluconeogenesis.

Love these videos, currently trying to find the balance between endurance cycling and powerlifting, can't wrap my mind on how people live without carbs when I consume 100g+ per hour on the bike.

This entire lecture basically describes how my eating disorder therapist coaxed me into eating carbs. I was so difficult! It was hard to switch gears but I did it (and I feel WAY better).

So this has been an interesting journey for me. I was 47yrs, 300lbs and my clinician told me Carnivore is the only way. So I did it with 2000 calorie restriction and heavy lifting 4-5 times a week. I am now down to 260lbs. CARNIVORE eventually wrecked me. The first 4months were solid losing fat, gaining muscle. Then my levels, life crashed. Brain fog, 2-3hrs of sleep, crashing-out at Noon...Did my blood panel and metabolically, hormonal-ly I was worse. So started bringing carbs back into my diet, decreasing fat.. Rice, potato, fruits, vegetables, occasional einkorn wheat and vitamin supplements and increased back to 3000calories. Took about 3months, but now levels are Optimal across the board and maintained weight with slight decrease in fat, small increase in SMM. Now, I'm 50/50 on weights and cardio, walking after every meal and the fat loss has restarted. Carnivore is a cycle diet, no more than 90days with calorie deficit, however balanced macros is just such a better life.

I'd also suggest when reintroduced veggies to cook, stream, roast, not raw.. it's much more difficult to digest raw veggies.

My new favorite channel because of analysis!
Ive been eating sugar, carbs, processed foods, some good foods and American drivethru for 38 years.
The last 60 days ive been on "keto" diet: avocado, brocolli, cabbage, pecans, strawberries, "fat bombs" (coffee with irish butter, MCT oil, half and half and splenda), keto breads- (almond flour and/or coconut flour),
Protein from cheeses, eggs, meats.
2,000-2,500 cal/day
Less than 30g of carbs/day
100-150g of protein/day
At 6' 2", ive been at 25%-30% body fat weighing 260 for the last 9 years.
In the last 60 days on the keto diet, im down to 240, while doing 4 days on/1 day off in the gym, progressively overloading body parts and 2 hours a week with a trainer doing full body cardio.
My sleep has been the biggest problem because of everything else going on right now.

Carbs help with recovery and energy for intense training. Good carb management can give you the necessary recovery and energy for more workouts, more muscle breakdown for hypertrophy and therefore better results long term. Caloric deficit is all that matters for weight loss.

I was doing this low carb mambo jumbo until i got light enough to do running for my cardio and to discover just how much difference can being carbed up make. Being properly fueled can make paces literally faster by a minute per km
