"Support person stays out of the OT until the spinal is done"—the most BS rule ever. Thankfully, I was there with my wife throughout her entire procedure, from pre-op to shifting her into post-op. The doctor and hospital had no objections when she said she wanted me there the whole time. There's literally no valid reason to keep the husband out—it's an intense moment, and a wife would feel much safer with her loved one rather than a room full of strangers, no matter how skilled or empathetic they are.

I had major abdominal surgery when I was 9, though I obviously wasn't awake for it. But tbh, it's not the surgery that is scaring me, it's the being buck naked for minutes at a time! I'm incredibly modest - I wouldn't even let my mom or sister see me change growing up! I know these people see naked women all the time and it's nothing to them, but it doesn't make me feel any better!

Having my 4th C-section in 2.5 weeks and I still get nervous and look up videos like I don't know what's gonna happen. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I&apos;m having a csection because I think it would better for me. <br>My provider is very open to &quot;let women choose&quot; so I&apos;m thankful for that.

The information helps me to rationalize my fears about a C-section. However, I still find myself being queasy due to an intense phobia of needles and blood. If only I could skip past to having my sweet baby with me and not the surgery 😵‍💫

I went into labor at 37 weeks, a week ago. My contractions were inconsistent pain intensity and timing. However I hadn&apos;t felt that pain since the real deal. After 12 hours with no less than 20 minutes without a contraction I went to the hospital. Labor was definitely progressing despite inconsistent contractions. I refused to eat breakfast or drink anything except water that morning so I was put through to my c section fairly quickly. I had a feeling they would go after him. They were happy I had that gut feeling so I pushed to the front of the line. Not an emergency yet, but it had to happen that day since labor was going quickly.

Thank you so much for making me feel a little better &amp; a whole lot more prepared. Found out at 34 weeks+ that I have to have an early, scheduled c section due to complete placenta previa and I’m terrified!

I had an emergency c-section for my first delivery as a result of a scheduled induction, but that was now four years ago. Thank you for this video because it helped me have a little refresher before I go in for my scheduled c-section for baby #2 in a few weeks. 😊
