  That is why I reserved all my judgments and opinions until after the speakers were revealed, at which point I could evaluate them with the full range of all my biases and stupidity instead of their mere sonic qualities

  Blind testing is the way to go. THANKS FOR THE AUDITIONING, LYLE!! I liked some for some pickup combinations over others, and others for other combinations. GREAT JOB!

  Blind tests are golden. I for one like to have my preconceptions and opinions challenged in ways that i can't deny. It's not always painless but always worth it

  Nice review and speaker comparisons.   While I've never listen to the Alessandro speaker in-person, I did thought that speaker-A had that something and was more preferable/pleasing to my ear.   With that said, I do have a Warehouse ET-65 installed in an original Fender Blues Deluxe that sounds  extremely well with this amp & cabinet...Keep up the fine work my friend!!!

  Really excellent, thoughtful comparison. <br><br>I first noticed this series because George recommended I put his model in my 65 Deluxe when he tuned it up a few years ago. I&apos;ve owned the amp since &apos;69 when I replaced the original blown Jensen with a MI-120. Other musicians have always complimented it&apos;s tone and presence. But I went with his recommendation to get a classic DR sound. It was a night/day change but always wondered if it was the right move because I was very accustomed to the old sound. <br><br>So I learned two things here: Not only was the Alessandro a great choice, but it really does chase the DR mojo very well. As did both WGS, by the way. But the emphasized mids works better for me. Typically. Which leads me to the second lesson: Context is everything. For each of the three compares there are moments of &apos;to die for&apos; sound from both A or B. A specific phrase &nbsp;emphasized one combination of tone, harmonics, attack, decay, etc. and worked better with one speaker or the other. Three excellent speakers and the right choice probably depends on an individual&apos;s own style and type of music. <br><br>I do look forward to the 335 compare because it&apos;s where I live, primarily in jazz and blues. <br><br>One last thing - I really appreciate how Brian Lindsey changed his playing for the different instruments so adeptly. It makes these compares such a useful reference.

  After watching part 2 with a strat, I chose B. Speaker A was crisp and tighter sounding, while I thought B was slightly warm, full and chimey on the top end, but not in a sharp, cutting way.

  I went with the Alessandro in a DR I built. Lovely speaker. I play mostly humbuckers and P90 guitars, and it keeps the bottom tight without flubbing out. Nice mids. I&apos;ll try an ET65 at some point.

  George made my deluxe and I do love it….I can say his speaker kills the stock speaker fender had put in there originally
