  One of the NCL ships had fish on the hallway carpet that were always swimming toward the front of the ship.

  Recently on the Freedom.  There was a motion activated night light at the bottom of the closet.  Great for nighttime trips to the toilet.

  Some hotel rooms are no longer putting hair dryers in the rooms.  You need to ask at the front desk to be given one to use.

  Whether cabins have extra beds and/or mini-fridges depends on the line, ship, and cabin type. Also, the mini-fridges are beverage coolers, not really refrigerators.

  I have been cruising since I was 8 years old (yes,8, NYC - Naples Italy on the SS Constitution, and I’m pretty old now😉)<br> &nbsp;Here a few things I do and highly recommend:<br><br> 1) Do bring a personal travel safe. &nbsp;I never trust hotel/ship safes. ALSO too many times people leave important stuff in the safe, car keys, passports etc etc. they now have left the ship and find themselves in trouble.<br> &nbsp;Having your own travel safe saves people! &nbsp;I teach personal security.<br> 2). Magnets on the outside of your door help you find your cabin! I suggest a personalized magnet that has first names , dogs names etc. some people will have lots of magnets on their door but lose a lot to thieves too.<br> &nbsp;3). If you have thick hair or long hair… bring your hairdryer. <br> &nbsp;4) NO personal Bluetooth speakers. They get confiscated these days.<br> &nbsp;5) PACK and then take out HALF! &nbsp;You won’t need as much clothes as you might think… and that suitcase will feel like a ton after the week of a relaxing vacation!<br> &nbsp;Have FUN!
