  Bring a container of disinfecting wipes in your carry on and wipe your room down before you unpack a single thing! The room isn’t as clean as it might look (just check out your wipes as you go 🥴). Don’t forget light switches, door handles, the TV remote, and other commonly-touched surfaces. I even wipe down the bathroom sink, faucets, toilet, etc. You can’t trust your room was really cleaned well in the few hrs between passenger turnovers. Cruise ships are PETRIE DISHES!

  Always call your credit card before the cruise and tell them that you are leaving the country.your credit card will be declined and you will be in line with a hundred people trying to call on the ship!!!

  Get wild and crazy but first put your phone in airplane mode then you can connect to ships wi-fi!

  The very first thing I do in a room whether on a cruise, a vacation rental or a hotel room is check EVERYTHING with a UV flashlight- especially the bedding. I wear the UV safety glasses that came with the light, darken the room, and check thoroughly. Blood and vomit flouresce, while semen absorbs and appears  black. Bedbugs are usually full of blood and will flouresce as they scurry away between the mattress and box. If you love the suite, simply demand a deep cleaning and recheck. If not, demand a new cabin and recheck.

  wife and I always wear our swimsuits under our clothes on boarding day.  Get on and go to the EMPTY pool.   the room can wait. :)

  When on a cruise, do not forget to take your driver licence (US cruises) and passport (Mexico etc cruises) when off boarding for the local excursions! The cruise team would not let u off the ship without propers documentation, and the boarder controls will not let you back to your ship without your passport! Save time and take your docs with you before leaving the cabin! Happy cruising!!!
