How come farmers who feed us all are suffering so much and rich people are enjoying luxuries. These people deserve more respect just like soldiers, freedom figthers... People should try to grow their own rice,lentils and vegetables for a few months atleast mandatorily then we will undersand the pain and discipline goes into food production.

I do not agree with Mr. Kishore. it is proven that over a period of time organic farming elevates the vield per hectare, whereas incriminate use of chemical fertilizers results in severe degradation of soil quality. It is more costly, yes. But infinitely better than reliance on pertoleum products.

The middle east countries are the hardest hit, starting with Iran, Lebanon, Israel and the oil rich nations. As for the oil rich nations, they have only a few years left.

Scarcity of water is much bigger concern. Fertilizers are not used but over used. It is time to utilise the urea siting in our soils by using biofertilizer.
