  Ok you shouldn’t do what Verity did, but the cruelty of people in high school can ruin lives. I still remember the bullies and how they tore me down regularly. One apologized 20 years later and it was a balm to my soul. The ones who just move on like they’re weren’t ruining lives with their cruelty? They know what they did. And it does matter.

  This episode actually shows that just because bullies are kids, doesnt mean theyll grow out of it. Sure their actions as a kid are based in immaturity, but thats often just their training ground until they become adult bullies in the workplace, like Maria.
