27:51 There's another layer to this because the reason the trio wasn't caught before the honeymoon couple was because they attributed the rest of the missing people to dying by the landscape and here's proof of how plausible that really is

What makes Davis’s story even more tragic is that he never wanted to make the documentary in the first place, he was basically forced into it. I can’t shake the feeling that they were drawing parallels between him and his parents’ victims — and in turn, comparing him to survivors of killers that are not only used for views by documentaries but still have to cope with the trauma after — but maybe that’s going into conspiracy mode.

30:48 how intense do your scenes have to be for your hookup third to say “I think these mf might be serial killers”.

I feel like there are some similarities between Pia and Janet. Both of them had this fascination with exploiting crime for their own sastfication. Pia with making true crime documentaries and Janet with actually committing the crimes herself. It also leads to both of their deaths in the end as well. Janet might be more famous for her death though because at the end of the day Pia was just another "nobody" and Janet a serial killer.

I love the ending because I think most of us thought Janet was going to say "forgive me". But yeah, it was definitely something else lol. It's crazy cause a lot of serial killers who murder strangers still have some kind of "love" for their family members. BTK's daughter said her father was very loving towards them.

Thank you for talking about WHY Pia died the way she did. Those who don't like this episode and initial reviews called it pointless and didn't pay attention to what was said in the episode. Not only is it about the beautiful landscape killing her but also, previous victims were thought to have disappeared into the same landscape, so Pia dying in that same landscape is also part of the horrific joke. Her death also becomes part of the doc so she dies "for" the film in a way, her death is senseless on purpose.

a lot of people wrote off this season of black mirror bc it was so different from their typical sci-fi settings, but i think this episode especially exhibits how cool it was that they tried something new by grounding episodes in the present and past. loch henry is very much holding up a mirror to anyone who enjoys or creates true crime content without any of the distance created by a more fantastical set up.

gotta love the duality of insensitivity in the story.
The casual racism from the natives of the town, but also Pia's 100 % willingness to use a local tragedy for her own personal gain while pretending it would 'help' the locals.
Pia wasn't 100 % innocent. She was exploiting horrific events for the locals for her own purpose and benefit.

It was specifically stated in GoT that Podrick had a pole of average size.
It's heavily implied the woman enjoyed his company so much because he enjoyed pleasuring them more than himself.

I understand that Pia was stocked but i feel like she handled the situation with Janet the worst way she could've.

From what I seen online, a lot of people didn’t rate this episode and claimed it had nothing to do with “technology “ and was just a murder case, but honestly this was one of my favourite episodes
