  The main thing i dont like about the episode is the fact that Netflix has the gall produce this while increasing THEIR subscription rates and adding ads like it's so infuriating they clearly don't care about the clear hypocrisy

  what makes this so aggravating is knowing this is the world they want for us. they want this schematic applied to every single thing people interact with. its infuriating.

  I’ll be honest as soon as my husband told me my life was now a subscription and we can’t afford it. I would just do like a month to do all the things we’ve wanted to do together bucket list style (outside of having a kid) then just cancel the subscription and die happy. I would rather die young then be the reason my husband dies early of a heart attack, and bankrupt my family

  there's an even darker take here that a lot of people don't pick up on. there's an interpration here of the poor making the rich richer. rivermind standard basically exists to drain poor people's brains to power the servers so rich people can live their lives of luxury, the lux subscription basically being legal drugs. poor people working themselves to death to stay alive just so their rich bosses can make a lot more off them than what they get. makes this future even worse to live in. poor people basically being used as slaves so rich people can live a perverted life on drugs. one even has to wonder at what point rivermind starts taking in people who don't experience accidents or diseases, at what point rich people start subscribing of their free will so they can have super human abilities and feelings, all while putting even more stress on the servers which require even more drain from poor people who just sleep for most of the day and spit nothing but ads when awake, just mindless zombies so the elite class can live in luxury

  If even a FRAGMENT of my mind was put on a server or I started talking in adds I’d totally rather die. Also not dreaming sounds terrible because I absolutely LOVE dreaming.
