Will never forget this ever. I lived in Del city and it got so close. When it passed we had so much debris in our yard. Pics, insulation etc. Gary England was the best. Miss hearing him at night.

I miss Gary England. I spent most of my life watching him when things went south. He never really got excited, always seemed calm, and his voice was so reassuring that everything would be okay. I also miss seeing OHP in black-and-white cars, especially the Camaro.

I was only a week old when this tornado rip threw. My mom and dad said I was in the closet with my 3 older sisters. My mom is on top of my 3 older sisters and holding me while my dad was outside recording the tornado lmaooo.

I found the footage last year. Im 27 now.

As far as I know there's only been one f6 tornado and that was l reno tornado 2013 reaching max width of 4 miles. Honestly it might have gotten bigger and that tornado did some super unusual shit. Like you could've been driving 70 mph or faster away from the tornado and it was going to pull your truck into it no matter what. That tornado was wild I wont forget watching it on TV then the power gone out and my friends and I are 13-15 year old home alone hanging out. I got up right away and looked out my house door and cussed. Luckily my house was far enough away we just lost power but the hell damage was unreal. The true size of the 2013 tornado was unreal. Sadly my friend lost his grandma and grandpa in that tornado but our houses was okay and Oklahoma lost a few storm chasers in that tornado. Like I said. It did a lot of weird unusual stuff. I truly think it was the first f6 tornado to ever be called f6. Growing up here you always heard f1 f3 and 4 and 5 was bad. Now where i hear f6 I just think we're all are going to die.

I will ALWAYS remember where I was. I lived off of NW 49th in NW OKC... NW 50th and MAY area. I was a brand new mom and my baby was 2.5 months old. Her daddy was at work at Quail Springs Mall.... I had a couple of friends that had come over for a visit when the weather started turning worse so they left, and I was at home with my baby and dog watching it on TV.... I also had prepared my bathroom with a mattress, blankets and pillows... and was ready to take cover in there if another tornado broke out in MY area. My husband's job made all the employees and customers that wanted to stay go down into the hallways behind the food court on the lowest level because some other tornado had been seen in between Yukon and Quail Springs area. Well My daughter is NOW 27 with 3 of her own children. Her daddy passed away in 2002. RIP Gary England!!! IF Not for him and all the amazing stormchasers from ALL the news channels... this could have been much worse than it turned out.

My father went to OKC from the Dallas area about a day or so after it happened. He was meeting with some other crew to do some telephone work. The crew he was meeting with was already there when the tornado had occurred. They had taken shelter in the bottom floor of a hotel. The crew were guys in their 20s, and they told my dad that after the tornado went through they all said to each other laughingly, let's go out and see what happened. One guy said that after they drove around, no one was laughing.

I lived in West Moore when this happened. These pictures don’t even begin to show how bad it was. B A D , horrific. I moved shortly after, but , like my home in West Moore, the first thing I did was have a tornado shelter put in under the garage floor. To this day, I still have PTSD and anxiety. I’m terrified of storms but have a friend that’s a meteorologist teach me how to read radar and clouds. I’m better, but if a tornado comes close to where I live, I cry. But we didn’t loose 1 family member or a friend, and in that alone, I am blessed

It's incredible and chilling to see this news coverage again. We were watching it grind through Moore (moving towards us at Tinker) and I never have (or ever will) forget hearing the warning that anything other than getting underground was not good enough. It was the only time my family ever got in our van and fled from a tornado.

This exact same night we got hit with an EF4 tornado in Wichita and Haysville, KS. I'm a storm chaser now and I've chased a couple of ef5s but the Haysville 99 tornado during the May 3rd outbreak was probably one of the scariest moments of my life when it comes to tornadoes and I've been chasing for 14 years. I still remember it vividly.
