I hear all these horrible stories of these disasters but these people dont seem to realize that as soon as you get all it rebuilt and everything payed for  and back to normal, the very same thing could happen again in an instant with no warning what so ever , I mean this time you may be sound asleep and it devires you and you entire family,,,it makes me wonder why the people live where these things exist, I mean the tornadoes  aren't going to just go away and not come back, they will be back again and probably like this time, when you least expect it, and your guard is down , to me it's like swimming in crocodile infested waters, why do people live where these things exist ? 😮

I hope and pray our above ground tornado shelter would hold up if we ever experience a tornado. Would have loved to have a below ground but flooding can be a concern for us.

You write about the smell of a tornado. What does it smell like?"

My parents lived in Oklahoma a few years before I was born  and the main reason they moved to Tennessee was because of tornadoes.

I held it together until she read out the nomination letter for the teacher award and then bawled like a baby

When I was a kid; if the sky turned green, Mom would take us down to the basement. I will never forget the smell of tornado weather.
