  When Finnish people talk about Swedish people it usually a gruel joke to the outsider but it's because they're our neighbours but we wouldn't change them for anything.. like brotherly love.

  Saunas are Finns favorite social place to be.<br>You can drink beer, eat sausages and there are no Ticks or Mosquitos in a Sauna 😊

  In the sauna, there are no titles. No one bows to anyone, and no one has shame, for everyone is naked and equal. The only thing that remains is tradition.<br><br>The sauna is not just a washroom. It is also a church, a portal to realms of birth and death. Thus, every visit is a rebirth and you come out clean in both body and soul.<br><br>This is why there is no distance between people.

  I laughed a lot when I heard that in Finland, tourists sometimes ask the president’s wife to take their photo in front of the president’s house, because she goes for walks and looks like an ordinary person. It would be hilarious to know what they think when they later find out their holiday photo was taken by the president’s wife. :face-blue-smiling:

  Sauna is a huge part of Finnish culture. It is a tradition that goes back thousands of years, and even the word sauna is Finnish. Finns also developed the modern type of sauna that most people around the world recognize today. Finnish sauna culture is also officially recognized by UNESCO: in 2020, sauna culture in Finland was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. So yes, sauna is definitely a very important part of Finnish culture.<br>And we Finns actually do like talking to people and getting to know new people. We’re just not very good at small talk, because it isn’t really part of our culture, so it can feel a little unfamiliar to us.
