  I understand that broken pavement doesn't look the best, but Finland has harsh winters so it's impossible to keep them all looking good. After every winter it starts to crack.

Google maps is broken in Finland (about a decade now) and randomly switches the language between Swedish and Finnish for place names.<br><br>It is extremely inconvenient for us Finns that are not originally from around these regions and sometimes have no clue which Finnish place name the Swedish place name corresponds to, since they are not always similar or direct translations. For example <b>Turku</b> is <b>Åbo</b> in Swedish, and as you can see, they are nothing a like.<br><br>This also makes travelling in Finland quite difficult for tourists if they are relying on Google Maps alone

  Finland is the most forest covered nation in the World (not counting micro-nations). A massive 75% of it is covered in forests and 10% in bodies of water. So only ~15% of Finland is not covered in greenery or water. So it should not be surprising that everything is so green 😂

  Most of the road names you read were in Swedish. They usually have a Finnish name and a Swedish name since Finland is officially bilingual.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g14THwp0mQA&amp;t=750">12:30</a> Haltiala is an old farm and a popular outdoor and family destination. It has a free animal area where you can see cows, sheep, pigs, alpacas, horses, and ponies, for example. I sometimes go for walks there with my wife and dog. It’s a really nice area :)

  Approximately 75% of Finland&apos;s total land area is covered by forests, and about 10% consists of inland waters (lakes and rivers).

  There aren&apos;t many people because the google car has captured the areas you looked at early morning when kids are at school and adults are at work.

  It is not abandoned. Those are city scooters provided by competing companies. You can basically rent a scooter and drive it within a certain area of the city. A lot of European cities including Finland have those. It is a good alternative for taking a bus if you dont have a car. The scooter companies usually operate from may to october or so after which they collect the scooters. They also maintain and charge up those scooters. Each scooter is tracked so the companies know where each of their scooter is. The color of the scooter usually tells you which company owns those particular scooters. Also at the pile of rubble...they are dismantling the house so of course it is a pile of rubble:). Also it seems you really managed to avoid the central parts of Helsinki in general and only look at the mostly suburban parts of the city. The centre of Helsinki isnt bad looking city with its 19th century architecture.

  the barn next to field was kotieläintarha ie zoo with barnyard animals, where people can see horses, chickens, lambs, go for a pony ride etc some even have llamas ans ostriches
