  My issue is they couldn't decide what Michael was. Was he just an old man out for revenge? Was he The Shape, evil incarnate? They hint he's supernatural. Then they have him as an old man in the sewer. But in Kills he gets shot, takes a beating and it has no effect. The trilogy is a real mess

  Yeah, my biggest gripe was just how paranoid and traumatized the entire town was over what was essentially a crazy escaped convict killing 4 or 5 people back in the 70s. In the real world, that incident would have been completely forgotten by everyone except for a handful of elderly people and local history buffs.

  The was no reason for Karen to be killed if Laurie was going to be so nonchalant about the whole thing.

  I still remember when someone said that this trilogy would work a lot better if Halloween Ends was the first movie in the trilogy, with Michael coming back at the end instead of being killed, and then segueing with Halloween Kills to remind Haddonfield that he’s back, and ultimately end with the original reboot with Laurie killing him off after the traumatic loss of her daughter, rework a couple of rewrites in there, and you get an infinitely better trilogy

  The problems for this trilogy started at the end of (2018).  There is no way Laurie would've left her burning home willingly or not until she saw his burnt to a crisp body, especially after all that preparation to kill Michael at the cost of being there for her family.

  Halloween Ends was a trainwreck. How the hell do you end a series where the main character was hardly in it.

  A huge issue I have is that Laurie and Haddonfield as a whole is so obsessed with stopping Michael when in this timeline, he only killed 5 people prior to 2018. Had more films been left canon, then Haddonfield wanting to stop his constant rampages feels more real.
